Triceratops Frill
This is an incredible piece of Triceratops frill, with a fused epoccipital has very deep, stunning blood grooves and nutrient holes, or fenestrae (openings or holes typically in bone). The size of the nutrient holes indicate this specimen would most likely have come from a mature adult. This appealing section of frill was used to protect the animal from predators such as the Tyrannosaurus rex. As Triceratops is one of the most well known dinosaurs, fossils belonging to it are sought after by collectors and anyone with a fascination for dinosaurs. This specimen does not disappoint— coming with a display stand, it is ready to be displayed in your collection.
