Bring Ancient Finds Back to Life

Whether you’re piecing together a million-year-old fossil or just want to keep your favorite specimen intact, our PaleoBOND collection has you covered. These professional-grade adhesives and stabilizers are trusted by fossil hunters, museum crews, and passionate collectors alike. From super-thin formulas that seep into tiny cracks to thicker gels for bigger repairs, there’s a solution here for every kind of fossil fix

What is "CPS" Viscosity?

  •      Viscosity measures how thick or runny a liquid is—its resistance to flow.
  •      PaleoBOND expresses viscosity in centipoise (cP or cps).
  •      For reference, water is about 1 cP at room temperature.
  •      So, higher numbers mean thicker, slower-flowing adhesive.

PALEOBOND ADHESIVES & THEIR THICKNESS

FROM THINneST TO THICKEST:

  • PB40: ~40 cps — very thin, great for fine cracks or precise application.
  • PB100 / PB100X: ~100 cps — medium thickness; strong bonding, cures fast, surface‑insensitive (especially PB100X).
  • PB750: ~750 cps — thicker, fills moderate gaps (~0.05 mm).
  • PB1500: ~1,500 cps — even thicker, handles larger gaps (~0.25 mm) but still flows.
  • PB4540 (Jurassic Gel): ~12,000 cps — very thick gel for big gaps or uneven surfaces.

Choosing the Right Adhesive

1. Apply Penetrant Stabilizer (PB002) first—it’s very thin (<1 cP), so it soaks into cracks and stabilizes the piece.
2. Select a structural adhesive based on the gap or fit:
    • Tight or precise joints: PB40 or PB100(X).
    • Wider gaps or surface mismatch: PB750, PB1500, or Jurassic Gel.
3. If speed is important, you can spray Activator (PB304/303) lightly to accelerate curing without reducing long-term bond strength.
