What's in your bucket?
Pyrite (“Fool’s Gold”)-Shiny and metallic, pyrite gets its nickname from its golden glow — but it’s actually iron sulfide. It forms in cubes or clusters and was once used to start fires!
Kyanite-Known for its deep blue blades, kyanite forms in long, shiny crystals. It often develops in metamorphic rocks.
Mookaite-A colorful jasper from Australia, mookaite ranges in reds, yellows, and purples. It formed in ancient sea beds.
Moroccan Quartz Geode-Crack open these round, hollow rocks to reveal sparkling quartz crystals inside! Geodes form when mineral-rich water fills bubbles in volcanic or sedimentary rock.
Amethyst(deep purple)-variety of quartz, prized for its rich color and commonly found in Uruguay.
Amber-This golden gem is actually fossilized tree resin — sometimes over 30 million years old! Look closely — some pieces even contain ancient plant or insect remains.
Black Tourmaline-This jet-black crystal forms in long vertical striations. It often grows in quartz-rich environments.
Ammonite Fossil-These coiled marine fossils are over 66 million years old and related to modern squids.
Polished Mammoth Tusk-A glossy, smoothed piece of Ice Age history — mammoth ivory has been fossilized over thousands of years. Each piece is unique and rich in ancient character.
Rainbow Moonstone-This shimmering gem shows flashes of light called adularescence — like moonlight glowing inside the stone. It’s been used in jewelry for centuries.
Stromatolite-One of the oldest known fossils on Earth — stromatolites were formed by layers of cyanobacteria over 3 billion years ago! These stony fossils show the earliest signs of life.
Prehnite-Soft green and sometimes translucent, prehnite often forms in bubbly or botryoidal shapes.
Amazonite-A vibrant blue-green stone with a silky sheen.
Purple Obsidian-A rare, volcanic glass with a deep purple hue. Obsidian forms when lava cools rapidly — it’s sharp and shiny.

Some of the gems may vary from bucket to bucket!
Due to the delicate nature of some of the fossils, we recommend dry sifting rather than using water.
