Lee Creek Serrated CHUBUTENSIS 2.57"
A sharply serrated Otodus chubutensis with a perfect tip and gorgeous beige enamel, straight out of the legendary Lee Creek Mine in Aurora, North Carolina.
The Chubutensis (Otodus chubutensis) was a massive prehistoric predator that lived during the Miocene and early Pliocene epochs. Considered an evolutionary link between Otodus obliquus and Otodus megalodon, it had large, serrated teeth with distinctive side cusps, which later disappeared in its descendant, Megalodon. Fossils of Chubutensis have been found worldwide, indicating it thrived in diverse marine environments, preying on large marine mammals like whales.
