Genuine Prehistoric Fossil Tooth — Meg 1.74", BV Florida
This is a genuine fossilized megalodon tooth from the famous Bone Valley deposits of central Florida. It has sharp serrations, a well preserved root, and the white and gray coloring the region is known for. The tip has a tiny peel between the serrations that you can barely see without looking closely, and it does nothing to take away from the tooth's overall look. A fantastic Bone Valley meg that displays beautifully.
Megalodon lived roughly 23 to 3.6 million years ago and reached estimated lengths of 50 to 60 feet, making it one of the largest predators in ocean history. Bone Valley formed when much of Florida sat beneath a warm, shallow sea, and phosphate-rich sediment preserved fossils there in remarkable detail, giving the area its reputation as one of the richest fossil-producing regions in North America.
This tooth was naturally shed, buried in ancient marine sediment, and later exposed through phosphate mining. Guaranteed 100% authentic.
