Authentic Nanotyrannus Premax tooth in a Case Lance Formation, Wyoming

A genuine Nanotyrannus premax tooth, recovered from the Lance Formation in Weston County, Wyoming, dating to the Late Cretaceous, roughly 66 million years old. This .67" specimen features a fantastic light, rich brown coloring with  intact serrations along the edge.

About Nanotyrannus:

Nanotyrannus lancensis is a small tyrannosaurid theropod known from the Late Cretaceous Lance and Hell Creek Formations. Its exact identity remains one of the more debated topics in paleontology: some researchers consider it a valid, smaller-bodied genus distinct from Tyrannosaurus rex, while others argue known specimens are simply juvenile T. rex. Nanotyrannus teeth are more slender and more numerous in the fossil record than mature T. rex teeth, and they're prized by collectors for their fine, blade-like serrations.
