Associated Megs 5.29" and 5.11"
This remarkable set of two associated Megalodon teeth from Peru comes from an old collection—an increasingly rare find in today’s market. Both teeth display unique coloration and intricate natural patterns, making them exceptional specimens.
The 5.11” tooth features striking green, leopard-like spotting on the enamel, with a naturally peeling root and enamel. It retains sharp serrations, though the tip is missing and has been carefully stabilized with glue to preserve its integrity.
The 5.29” tooth also has sharp serrations and a missing tip, with a repair where it was reassembled along the midline. Despite these restorations, both teeth retain their prehistoric charm and structural integrity.
Finding an associated Megalodon tooth set is exceptionally rare, making this pair a truly special addition to your collection.
The Megalodon , Otodus megalodon, was a massive prehistoric predator that lived about 23 to 3.6 million years ago. It could grow up to 60 feet (18 meters) long and had large, serrated teeth for hunting large marine mammals like whales. These fossils, found globally, indicate inhabitation in diverse marine settings.
