Mammoth Tusk
This Columbian Mammoth Tusk comes in a protective Ryker display case.
The Columbian Mammoth was a giant prehistoric mammal that roamed North America during the Pleistocene epoch, approximately 1.5 million to 11,000 years ago. Standing up to 13 feet tall at the shoulder and weighing up to 10 tons, it was one of the largest mammoth species. Unlike the woolly mammoth, the Columbian mammoth had less hair, adapted to the more temperate climates of North America. It sported long, curved tusks used for foraging and defense. These mammoths primarily grazed on grasses and other vegetation. Their extinction around 11,000 years ago is attributed to a combination of climate change and hunting by early humans.
