Amazing coloration and patterns on this Scaldecetus sp. tooth from the Pliocene of South Carolina. Gorgeous tooth with TONS of pyrite throughout. Many of the cracks are filled with it. When polishing these, one never knows what the outcome is going to be. Many turn out to be just as black on the inside as the outside. Some don't have any pyrite and if they do, it's a little here and there. This one turned out to be a GEM! I wish they all came out like this.
